WHAT'S ALL THE HYPE ABOUT?

If you would have told me six years ago that you could just about walk into any store (including the local craft store!) and purchase essential oils and diffusers, I would not have believed it!! Six years ago, I had not really heard much about essential oils much less see them available for purchase in a store I regularly shop in. But now, they are everywhere you turn. Stores and people eager to build a home based business have made essential oils truly a "household word."

You won't find a sales pitch here, or an essay/argument about which oil company is best and why you should purchase from them, or a comparison of independent testing, or which is better...owning the field or partnering with the growers, or any of those other things that I often find out there in both the cyber world and in conversations within my friend circles. The most you will see here is an encouragement now and again to make sure you know what you know and have chosen the best quality oils for your use. YOUR use.

Let's be honest, we will always like what we like and want everyone else to like it too. Each person usually can make an impressive argument for "their company." I'm not interested in doing that here. I'm more interested in sharing what I have found to be a fantastic tool in our tool belt in the journey of health and wellness and encourage others to find theirs.

I think part of what has happened and why essential oil use is on the rise is people are tired of trying non-natural, non-homeopathic options that don't seem to bring long term relief or change. People are trying to reserve their use of certain prescribed helps for when it is really needed so it works effectively. Modern medicine is a blessing, no doubt about that. But like everything else in life, there is a place of balance. And I know a lot of other people, like myself, are attempting to find that balance.

My biggest question in recent years goes something like this: "Why can't we just all share from a place of respect and equality, no sales pitches and arguments about who and what is better? Why can't we just have good conversations with helps, tips and encouragements for each other?"  Thankfully, my mentors in this area did exactly that - they shared from the heart with the intent to educate, encourage without judgment or one upmanship. Consequently, I too have been doing that from the beginning of my oil journey. And it just feels like the right thing to do. From where I stand, it's only been a place of blessing to do it this way and I hope others begin to see how much more we gain from each other when we do it from that place. And not just with essential oils, but that's another topic!! :-)

So, let's put down our "weapons" and link arms to share in some strategies for the journey. And who knows, maybe we will see a battle won here and there along the way!

HAPPY OILING.
