Work Out Relief
Working out can sometimes = sore muscles! HELP!!
How do I find relief after tough workouts or just doing too much and having sore and aching muscles?
My foam roller - nothing is better to bring relief and healing than this! I used it a lot in my Grand Canyon training - a foam roller helps break up adhesions and scar tissue and speeds up the healing and recovery process after your workout. It's like a deep tissue massage.
Additionally, I use essential oils. I take a couple drops of the FCO (fractionated coconut oil) - my carrier oil - and put it in the palm of one hand, then I add a couple drops of a Massage Blend (I use AromaTouch) which can add a measure of relaxation and tension relief to those sore areas. Using the FCO helps me cover more area. I lightly massage that in. Maybe it's the relief of the tension in the muscles but I also feel like it helps my circulation improve in those tight and sore areas as well.
After a few minutes, I follow that with the application of the Soothing Blend (I use Deep Blue Rub) which provides a comforting sensation of cooling and warmth to the problem areas. Ahhh.......
