Deb's Perfect Sangria
Nothing says fun like a lovely sangria!
Single: (can double for more!)
- 1 lemon and lime, cut into fourths
- 1 ½ oranges sliced in cubes
- ½ c blueberries (or more as desired)
- ¼ c sugar
- ¼ c triple sec
- ¼ c brandy
- 1 ½ c orange juice
- 1 bottle Rojo or Lambrusco or other Spanish red wine
In large pitcher, place fruit, sugar, triple sec, brandy, and orange juice. Mix, cover and chill overnight. In the morning, add wine, stir, recover and chill until serving time.
To serve, in glasses of choice add some ice cubes, Sangria as desired and top the rest of the glass off with the "uncola" of your choice. Or don't use a mixer and go straight up over ice!
For white variation: do apples, grapes, lemons and use white wines. Some good choices may be: Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling (if it's dry), or a Portuguese white wine.
Can also use club soda or ginger ale.
